The exhibition features photographs from the iRIGA campaign, which took place throughout 2013. Riga residents and visitors were invited to express the city’s diversity and uniqueness. The resulting images reflect Riga through the eyes of its inhabitants, replacing stereotypical postcard images with a look at the outskirts, Rigans themselves and the events of their daily lives. From Bolderāja to Rumbula and from Berģi to Zolitūde – the photographs show the visual diversity of the Baltics’ largest city. The work, mostly representing the street photography genre, is also a significant act of civic engagement – the visual evidence of our time as created by both professionals and amateurs.
